Western North Carolina is known for its love of food and passion for great craft beer. At our Mills River Taproom and Restaurant you’ll find an abundance of both. Visit the Taproom to sample one of our 23 beers on tap, many produced just a few feet from the restaurant. Beers are accompanied by artful, chef-driven food focused on small plate, sharable, whole animal and farm-to-table dishes sourced mainly from local suppliers. We are a first come, first serve restaurant. Please feel free to stop by the host stand to put your name on the list, or grab a beer and head outside to our Back Porch and Beer Garden to take in the views of the beautiful forest or stroll through our Mills River Estate Garden. We use the homegrown vegetables and herbs for our restaurant and small-scale pilot brewery.

Probably my favorite brewery tour ever. Tons of brews on tap, good ones at that, and a nice restaurant with a variety of good food. I would put this brewery first on my list.

Wow what a fantastic brewery. From the time you see the gates enter through them the elaborate estate known as Sierra Nevada Brewing Company is quite a splendor. The architecture of the building is industrial yet the wood used from the property integrated in with the industrial theme is spectacular. Beautiful copper works. Antique tools and gadgets associated with the trade adorn everything. Elevated bar food restaurant to pair with the many beer selections. Outdoor seating and stage with live music and gardens are prime! ðŸ»ðŸº

Did the beer geek tour for $50. Totally worth it. Wife and I enjoyed it immensely. 3 hour tour. Served around 10-11 short pours throughout the tour. Our tour guide Alex was awesome. The taproom and restaurant are must visits. The Duck confit fries are perfect. Beer selection is incredible. If you like beer, you must visit here.
